Is it possible to do a full-length hash trail on a hash cruise and never leave the ship? With Royal Caribbean's Oasis class cruise ships, the answer is YES! These are among the world's largest cruise ships.
People often refer to cruise ships as floating cities, but the Utopia of the Seas actually is. It has outdoor "Neighborhoods" like Central Park and the Boardwalk with shops, pubs, restaurants and live plants and trees that might make you forget you are on a cruise ship.
Looking for an onboard adventure? There are FlowRider surf simulators, a rock wall, a zip line, mini golf, a video arcade, water slides, an 11-story dry slide (The Abyss), and an ice-skating rink. Hang out at one of the main pools or relax in the adult-only solarium with lots of pools and Jacuzzis to choose from. Try your luck in one of the largest casinos at sea.
The Utopia's entertainment options abound. Catch a high-diving water show at the Aqua Theater or a full-length production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the main show lounge. There's even a full production ice show at the ice rink. Live music and fun can be found all over the ship. Catch the band playing in the Music Hall bar, Latin bands at Boleros, and acoustic music at venues like The Mason Jar. Or join in and take center stage at the Spotlight Karaoke bar. Be sure to catch the parades and theme parties in the Royal Prominade. Speaking of parties, be sure to pack your toga for the outrageously fun silent toga dance party.
There are 23 bars onboard. Yes, 23. We can do a different pub crawl every day. There's the Bell & Barley, with lots of beer and gin choices in a rustic English pub atmosphere. The Pesky Parrot tiki bar. The Trellis Bar for a drink in the shade of the live trees in Central Park. Catch the game at Playmakers sports bar. Try the delicious lime and coconut drink at one of the Lime and Coconut bars out by the pools. Or go aloft at the Rising Tide bar which slowly rises between decks 5 and 8.
And of course, dining options abound. Eat in the main dining room with the hashers every night or choose from an abundance of other options. Complimentary options include the Windjammer buffet, Sorrento's pizza, El Loco Fresh, Park Cafe, Boardwalk Dog House, Spare Tire food trucks, Cafe Prominade and the Solarium Bistro. Feel like making it extra special? The extra charge specialty restaurants include Izumi Hibachi, Giovanni's Italian, Chops Grille, Hooked Seafood, The Mason Jar, and the Royal Railway, a five-course dinner in simulated wild west train car (book early, this sells out FAST!)
Expect theme nights every night and a stateroom/pub crawl could break out at any minute. All it takes is for a hasher to step up and take the lead (bring your small post-it note pads for onboard trail marking!)
We could spend the whole cruise on this ship exploring all it has to offer, but we have ports to visit ......

We board the ship in Port Canaveral, FL on Monday, October 11th. This is about an hour from Orlando so there is the possibility of getting a hash bus from the IAH hotel if we get enough hashers.

The #1 private island experience with the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean (with swim-up bar) and the tallest water slide in North America. There are several beach areas to choose from and you can use your drink package here!

Flashbacks of The Hash Boat! Perhaps a hash trail from the locals or make your own adventure.

This is our first hash cruise on a Royal Caribbean Oasis class ship. As one of the largest cruise ships in the world, Oasis class will have an abundance of options for onboard trails, pub crawls, fun, and entertainment. In addition to all the onboard activities, we have 2 ports of call for hash trails or just exploring and kicking back on the beach.

Royal Caribbean offers some beverage package options that can save you money (if you drink enough) and let you enjoy that all-inclusive, open bar feeling. The alcohol package runs about $55/day if purchased online before the cruise. Is it worth it? For most hashers, YES! But keep in mind, your break-even point is 8 to 9 drinks a day. If you aren't going to reach that, you might just want to pay as you go. The package is occasionally put on sale . We will sound the alarm if a particularly good discount should appear. Beverage packages, wifi, shore excursions, spa packages, etc. are purchased directly from RCCL when you log into your booking on the web site or app.
