New date! It's Spring Break time! Below are the group rates. However, if you are a Carnival VIFP (past guest), we'll check your special offers and any other current specials and make sure you are getting the best rate possible at the time you book. If you have a voucher from a past cancelled sailing, we'll get that applied as well. Cabins will be on the Upper Deck to give us inside, oceanview and two balcony options.
The rates includes your accommodations, food, entertainment and activities. The Cheers Beverage Package is optional but recommended (see below). The following rates are per person based on double occupancy. That means two hashers per cabin. The rate is inclusive of all port charges, taxes and pre-paid gratuity. Rates and availability are subject to change.
We're also going to add in trip protection insurance unless you decide to opt out. That will be additional (see below).
We can't lock down rates at this point but here's a ballpark of where rates are as of 2/2/22.
Inside cabins (no window) - $434.81 pp
Oceanview cabins (window) - $484.81 pp
Balcony cabins - $779.81 pp
Pricing for suites and other categories available by request.
Single rates are twice the double rate minus one set of taxes ($113.86) and one gratuity ($69.95).
Some cabins will allow a 3rd guest (triple) and some will accommodate a 3rd and 4th guest (quad) in upper bunk beds. I typically don't recommend this for adults, but if you have experience with a typical cruise ship cabin and think you'll be fine with tight quarters, limited storage, and competitive bathroom availability, then go for it. As of 2/2/22, the rate to add a 3rd/4th to a cabin is $289.81 pp.
We are beyond the final payment date, so full payment is due upon booking. In addition, there will be a $35 per cabin agency service fee.
I'm guessing as hashers, most of you travel all over the place and have a valid passport tucked away in a safe spot. Good. We're leaving and returning to the US so you'll need one. Make sure it is valid for at least six months after our departure date. If you don't have a passport or you need to renew, NOW is a good time to get that done. Yes, you can still (as of this writing) get by with your birth certificate and photo ID for cruising (with a lot of extra hassle) but why would you resist having the ability to travel anywhere in the world at a moment's notice? There is a lot of good hashing to be done on this planet and a LOT of those places make really good beer. Be one of us! Get a passport!
I'll be reminding you often to pack it. If you leave it at home, you will find yourself enjoying an extended vacation in Mobile with no cruise refund.
The Cheers Beverage Package includes your alcohol drinks, specialty coffee, bottled water, sodas, etc. It's not cheap. It's $51.95 per day plus an 18% gratuity built it. That will work out to $61.30 per day or $306.51 for the cruise. That's the online, pre-paid price. If you wait to buy it on the ship, it goes up $336.01. Is it worth it? For most of us, YES! But it kinda depends on what and how much you drink per day. As a general rule, your break even point hits at about 8-9 drinks per day. That's very easy to do on sea days, but maybe not on the port days when you are off the ship. The program also cuts you off at 15 alcoholic drinks per day (6 am to 6 am). This may sound like a bummer, but we've found that even hashers can find it challenging to hit 15 drinks in one day. To help you keep track, Babe will give out drink counting beads to everyone getting the package to wear each day. Simply move a bead over every time you order a drink. Personally, I think it's worth it just to have that open bar feeling of ordering whatever I feel like and not worrying about how much it costs. Choose your roommate carefully. It's an all or nothing deal for you AND your cabin mate. If one of you buys it, the other has to as well. You also have the option of the Bubbles Soda Package if you drink more Coke than beer. Unfortunately, the beverage package does not follow you off the ship.
Carnival's policy has not been determined yet about the necessity of Covid vaccines in April of 2022. If you have been vaccinated, just make sure you file your vaccination card with your passport. I bought one of those passport covers with the clear window for vaccine cards. Although we all hope that some (or all) of these restrictions will be relaxed by then, please read the current policies Carnival is listing at this link.

Trip protection insurance protects your investment if you have to cancel due to illness or family death. It also covers lost baggage and some medical coverage. Full information can be found at https://www.carnival.com/about-carnival/vacation-protection.
In the event you get ill with Covid or another illness, the insurance will cover you with additional expenses should you require to be quarantine or get ill in a foreign country. We feel that having the insurance is particularly important this year.
Trip Protection Insurance will be added to every booking unless you opt out on the registration form.
Rates for the insurance -
Inside and oceanview cabins - $49 pp
Standard Balcony cabins - $79 pp
The cruise is fully refundable (less the $35 booking fee) through February 2, 2022. Any cancellations after this date are subject to the following fees:
2/03/22 - 2/22/22 - $150 pp
2/23/22 - 3/20/22 - 50%
3/21/22 - 4/04/22 - 75%

Again, we highly recommend protecting yourself with the trip protection insurance which will be included unless you opt out on the registration form.
